We Are Here For the Working Parent!
Welcome to our home and your child's home away from home.
Ms. Nina and her staff have over 20 years of experience in childcare and withhold a 4 Star Child Care Facility rating.
Ms. Nina originally chose family childcare as a profession when her son was small. After having to put him into childcare, she found that her work hours did not match the childcare facilities hours. This made things much harder, trying to juggle all the challenges of working and finding quality daycare.

Virginia Cortez
I was born in Bowling Green, Ohio. I was raised in a small town called Grand Rapids Ohio. I graduated high school in 1975. I started working when I was 16 years old in a nursing home. When I was 20 I moved to Florida. I moved to North Carolina in 2006. I have been married twice and divorced twice. I have 3 children, 2 boys and 1 girl. I have 6 grandsons and 2 granddaughters. The 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson live in Florida. I don’t get to see them much. The oldest is 13 and the young ones are 2. I started working in daycare in 2007. I have my credentials and many class such as SIDS, CPR, First-Aid, BSAC and many more.
Teresa Brown
My name is Teresa Brown. I was born in Pitt County. I come from a large family in which I am the second of 10 children. I am CPR, First-Aid Certified,SIDS and BSAC trained. My favorite thing about working with children is having the opportunity to watch them grow and develop. It is very inspiring to watch an infant become a toddler and then a preschooler and that I was fortunate enough to play a role in their learning and development. My compassionate and love for others has driven me to enjoy working in the childcare field. I do believe that the children are the future. They are my heart.
Elizabeth Strickland
My name is Elizabeth Strickland better known to the children as Mrs. Liz. I was born and raised in Nash County. Before coming to Clayton I lived in Rocky Mount, NC. I am the fifth oldest child from a family of 12. I am divorce and have a 1 daughter and 1 grandson. I worked at Nash Edgecombe Economic Development better known as Head Start. There I was a pre-k teacher, I retired from substitute teacher for the Wake County School System, before joining Academy Of Angels. One of my greatest passion is children, I love children and love what I do because children are our future.
Precious Smaw
My name is Precious Smaw and I am a Pre-k/ After School teacher, however, I’ve also worked with infants, toddlers and preschoolers as well. I enjoy working with children and will always do my best to see them succeed. For the past year and four months I’ve had the opportunity to experience working in a childcare facility. This is not only a job for me but something that I have a passion for. I’m currently enrolled in my second year of school to receive my Associate’s in Early Childhood. Some of the things that I enjoy doing on my off time are spending time with friends & family, movies, shopping, dining and just relaxing.
